Pioltello is a comune in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 7 km northeast of Milan. As of 30 April 2012, it had a population of 37,086 and an area of 13.1 km².The municipality of Pioltello contains the frazioni Limito, Seggiano, and Rugacesio.Pioltello borders the following municipalities: Cernusco sul Naviglio, Vimodrone, Segrate, Rodano, Peschiera Borromeo, Vignate.Pioltello received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on November 19, 1999.Pioltello is served by Pioltello-Limito railway station.
