Visit the historical Alfama neighborhood, among Fado singers and the tiny “tascas” (the typical tiny restaurants) serving bacalau grelhado, admire the city panorama from one of the many city “miradouros”, and get ready to party in one of many bars of Bairro Alto, the highest part of old city.

Let’s finish with an Italian city, a wonderful art town in the South of Italy. Lecce is truly an amazing place to be: it’s not a coincidence if Italians call it “the Florence of the South”. And since you are in Lecce, get to Gallipoli by train and don’t miss to visit some amazing beaches in the Salento area, while tasting one of the delicious Puglia wines (like Negramaro or Primitivo): maybe you could even enjoy a quick swim if it’s still not too cold.
