Great – you finally planned your next trip and you’re ready to go… Oh, long-awaited vacations! Few days are missing and you just need to handle the last few tasks. Have you already packed your bags? Have your already checked-in for your Easyjet flight? If you’re always in doubt on when, how and what to do for doing it right, here is all the information you were looking for!
A mandatory procedure
You should know that Easyjet has made the online check-in a must-do a few years back, just like other airlines (first of all, Ryanair). Actually, this is pretty useful especially if you’re traveling with the hand luggage only, since that way you are allowed to go directly to the security checks; if you bring a hold luggage though you will have to pass through the bag drop instead.
How soon can I do online check-in with Easyjet?
Since you must check-in online before going to the airport, the company offers such service for free. You can do online check-in in order to generate your boarding pass from 30 days to 2 hours before your outbound flight leaves. You can also proceed with the check-in for your return flight (if booked any), even though you expect to come back more than one month later: the departure date is the one taken into account for the online check-in indeed.
How to do online check-in?
Whether you booked your flight on the company website or via an online travel agency like Wanderio, you must go to the Easyjet official site in order to proceed with the online check-in. Just click on the ‘Check-in’ top-right-corner button on the homepage and enter the requested info, that is to say the main passenger’s last name and booking reference number (it’s the PNR, the alphanumeric code written in your confirmation email). At this point, you’ll be inside the booking management dashboard, from which you are able to add your personal details and generate your printable boarding pass (unless you request to issue a mobile ticket).
What if my flight is delayed?
Well, if you’re at the airport when the delay of your flight is announced, then you can’t do much other than wait. But if the flight is rescheduled days in advance and you already checked in, then you should know you must do the check-in again and print the new boarding pass!
Not just check-in
When you log in into the booking management panel, you can actually do other operations apart from the check-in. For instance, if you realized Easyjet limitations on hand luggage don’t let you bring everything you’d want with you, you can add a hold luggage. Other services you can purchase after booking your flight are choosing your seat, changing some details of your trip or getting some extras such as travel insurance, hotels or parking at the airport.
Now that you really know everything about Easyjet check-in, you’ll get your boarding pass in a while! And you’ll have more time to enjoy your next trip.
