1 – Tel Aviv, Israel

On the top step of the podium we find one of the jewels of Middle East, Tel Aviv. A suggestive mix: a city with European style, but enriched by the charme of the Middle East. 2 – Lisbon, Portugal

2017 will be the year of Pistoia. This tiny Tuscan jewel, unfairly underrated for its proximity to Florence, Pistoia has been chosen as 2017 Italian culture capital. 4 – Auckland, New Zealand

Did you know that the Kiwi capital is one of the top world cities for the quality of life (more accurately, it’s ranked at the third place)? In the last years Auckland is getting more and more popular among tourists from all over the world, attracted by this futuristic, young and modern city, close to clean sea water and great beaches. 5 – Cape Town, South Africa

A bit far, it’s true, but spending time and money to get to this vibrant city is really worthy. Cape Town is growing in popularity and number of visitors, and next September you could visit a new city highlight: the Zeiz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, an avant-garde art place dedicated to contemporary art in this continent.

6 – Aarhus, Denmark

9 – Marrakech, Morocco

Easily reachable by flight, Marrakech is a must you have to see at least once in a lifietime. Moreover, 2017 is the perfect year for doing it: in the city a new musem dedicated to the great fashion stylist Yves Saint Laurent, who was deeply in love with Marrakech and Moroccan culture, will open to public. 10 – San Sebastian, Spain

Donostia, the name of San Sebastian in Basque language, is the real symbol of Basque Country: a charming seaside city, ready to welcome you with all its vibrant atmosphere. It has been chosen as European capital of culture in 2016, and there are many reasons for this choice. Our advice is to go there in August, on the Semana Grande: you won’t regret it.

11 – Mantua, Italy

This tiny city, placed in the middle of Emilia Romagna, has became famous this year for being chosen as top rank city in Italy for quality of life. If you haven’t visited it yet, why don’t pay a visit to Mantova in 2017? Do not miss the Palazzo Te and the Church of Saint Andrew. Getting to the city is easy, book a bus or a train now!

12 – Copenhagen, Denmark

In the Danish capital there are more bikes than cars: as matter of fact, Copenhagen has won the honourable title of capital of bikes in 2016. Visit it on two wheels: don’t worry about it, it’s crossed by many kilometres of cycle lanes! Maybe it’s not a coincidence if Denmark is ranked as the happiest country in the world.

13 – Toledo, Spain

Toledo, one hour far from Madrid, is a beautiful Medieval bourgh who looks like a set for a Crusaders movie: ancient weapons stores, clean and tiny streets, monuments and church everywhere. Toledo used to be the ancient capital of Spanish kingdom, but nowadays is one of the most visited cities in Spain. You haven’t been there yet? Time to go!

14 – Frankfurt, Germany

15 – Dubrovnik, Croatia

Did you know that “Game of Thrones” producers have chosen this city beautiful Croatian city carved in the stone and on a cliff overlooking the sea as set for the first season of the Tv series? Since then Dubrovnik has lived a real touristic boom: if you haven’t been there, don’t lose other time and get in touch with this amazing place!

16 – Belfast, United Kingdom

The years of fights between Protestants and Catholics are luckily passed by. Nowadays Belfast is a modern city, with many young inhabitants and a quivering cultural life. This beautiful Irish city deserves a visit: discover its interesting history hidden behind its many wall murales.

17 – Moscow, Russia

The centenary history and the incredibile abundance of monuments, palaces, churches and touristic highlights would be enough to convince you to visit the Russian capital.
